Personification

[[Okay, so personification. If you’re unfamiliar with the term, it mean to add human traits (mouths, eyes, thoughts, speech, sighing etc.) to non human things, such as cats, trees, the sun etc.]]

Humans are social creatures, we all know that, but we haven’t realisee HOW social. We are the only species like us. We are the only ones that can communicate with us effectively. We try to learn other animal languages beacuse we don’t want to be alone. We create bonds with inanimate objects, just because hey, we can. We rethink of things to be like us, but not quite, so that we are not the only ones.

We pretend trees can talk and sing.

We pretend that the sun has sunglasses and a smile.

We pretend that cats have similar thought and speech patterns to us.

We pretend the the breeze can whisper, the sea can roar, the hills can sigh.

We pretend, we personify, everything we can.

Why?

Because then we don’t have to remember that we’re all alone on our little pile of rocks.
