What he says: “I’m not afraid of sex.”
What he means: “I’m not afraid of being used in a sexual manner by others. In fact, that was my express intent, inviting you to my rooms; to have you take your pleasure from me so I could see you fall apart. I wanted to be the one to undo you. I was desperate for it. I’m not afraid because the worst has been done to me, there can be nothing left to fear.

I AM afraid of what you make me feel, Damen. I’m afraid of the tenderness you bring to my bed; afraid of the way my skin warms under your touch, your gaze; afraid of losing myself to this affection you seem to pour out without end, even after everything I’ve done to you.

I’m not afraid of sex, but this? This is terrifying.

Masks by Cyndy Salisbury

Cyndy Salisbury creates amazing mask art from Bainbridge Island, Washington.  She talks about her process fairyroom.com:

In my lifetime of making art, I’ve worked in many media, but the fantastical element emerged in my work when I began mask-making about four years ago. All of those decades of reading, of absorbing the imaginative works of others—now it all informs the aesthetic I bring to my current work as a mask maker.
