I remember when I first got Harry Potter and the deathly hallows I picked the book up and it accidentally flicked to the last few pages and I quickly shut it because I didn’t want to spoil it for myself but I saw “Ginny kissed Albus” and I remember thinking “fucking plot twist”.

okay so as much as I love the dream journal scene, this scene is just iconic. sharkboy is trying to get the kid to sleep by breaking into an aggressive musical number with lyrics that basically are “fucking sleep you little shit, if you don’t I’ll beat your ass”
i feel like it’s worth noting that although her name in the sky had a happy ending, a lot of the book deals with a lot of internalized as well as external homophobia and the bullying that the girls face can be kind of extreme, so be careful if you’re looking for feel good books!
