We need to talk about Mitsuki Sumoto’s Yuuri Katsuki themed short program costume that he debuted at the Asian Open this weekend.

I don’t know if it was because his costume designer is a fan, or because he’s a fan, but either way, I’m amused and pleased by this. It’s lovely!

The black and red color combination makes me think of the ‘Eros version’ of the Yuri on Ice costume a talented Japanese costume designer and fan created earlier this year.

Shoma dressed as the blue Power Ranger at The Ice Nagoya’s second show on Aug. 4. He attempted a 2A4T (stepped out) and won the jump battle against Boyang Jin, advancing to the final round against Alina Zagitova! (x, x)
