You know you’re European when:

They have to defuse a WW2 bomb in your city and nobody is really concerned because that happens from time to time.

WHAT #noteuropean

dude there’s entire fields in the west part of Belgium that just has a small “Watch out, mine field” on it, and sometimes farmers don’t know and put cows on it and they get blown up. Shit happens. #WW2

Same in Germany. People are actually annoyed when you can’t go shopping right now because they have to defuse a whole block in order to defuse a bomb. Think wouldn’t think of running. Ever. Just shrugg and comment on the inconvience of having to deal with the traffic. Not to mention can’t build a house / tunnel / whatever without expecting on having to call a bomb squad.

Yep. I once had to reschedule my train travel because they found a WW2 bombshell near the tracks and same, everyone was just a bit pissed. They even suspect other bombshells are still there so the passage of trains is still closely watched. Living in East France (which has often been occupied) also means finding bunkers (blockhaus) with German writings and enormous holes caused by bombing covered by vegetation in the local wood #welcome to Alsace-Lorraine
