Nor English nor Japanese are my first language, plus I am still learning Japanese, therefore, mistakes might be present.

Figure skating’s Shoma Uno(Toyota employee)’s heartfelt supporter, is his four years younger brother Itsuki(16), the two of them have rented a room near their parents’ house in Nagoya.

“He’s not very sociable,” says Uno (Itsuki).

Up until Shoma was in high school, Itsuki always came with him at competitions, staying by his side as long as just before he (Shoma) wore his costume and warming up together.

Playing catch ball or soccer with a rubber ball in the rink’s lobby was a habit. Shoma hitting Itsuki with the ball, throwing it in random directions or teasing him. Letting off the tension.

Even now there are instances in which Itsuki goes with Shoma to overseas competitions. During those competitions taking much more time than Japanese ones, Itsuki is a valuable playing companion, he also attends an international high school and can serve as a translator.
“Even without exchanging words, I can tell what Shoma is thinking,” says Itsuki. Hardly talking much about skating.
Shoma also tells:  “I can calm down when we’re together”
From a young age, he was a very helpful older brother. Bathing and coddling his barely born younger brother at the age of 4. Always together except during practices. Even when Itsuki got knee surgery 2 years ago, Shoma was sitting next to his bed.

Their personalities are opposites: the people shy older brother and the sociable, student council younger brother who took in hockey at the same ice rink and now does field hockey as well as modeling.

“What Shoma is uncomparable in is efforts. He hates so much to lose that if he does he’ll put in so much efforts. Because he knows about practicing to exhaustion and coming back.”
