I legitimately do not understand why a vegan who’s dedicated to pursuing a 100% vegan lifestyle, to the point where they want their pets on a vegan diet as well, do not. just. keep. naturally vegan pets.

bees do not suffer from humans harvesting their honey, as they produce it to a level of excess that they cannot hope to use.
not only that, but without people deliberately breeding them for honey, they would have died out by now.
this especially goes towards you vegans who don’t eat honey thinking it’s animal abuse. don’t go out and buy agave nectar, which is so frequently made using inhuman labour policies. use honey, the best way to save bees.
The overharvesting of agave is actually harming the animals that naturally feed off the plants such as certain types of bat. Protesting honey is killing bees and harming the livelihood of beekeepers, aka people who chose their job, not who were forced into it.

Automatically if you’re a meat-eater you eat fresh, bio, locally produced vegetables (since meat is not expensive at all you can afford them more regularly than any vg person out there obv) and suddenly the death or pain of animals (which are no lesser than humans, especially since they’re alive only for human use) don’t count lol /that is sarcasm/
The vegan discourse does irk me cause it focuses primarily on “not-eating-animal-stuff-without-thinking-of-other-consequences” but this ^ is utter bullshit too. Don’t push the blame on any person who is at least trying another way, like you have no part in it.
Take your responsibility too. Buy locally, buy ethically, buy logically (if you (a meat-eater) are already doing that it’s dandy and cool and still animals die and suffer for your consumption…oops I guess?). Do something for your fucking planet and for your fucking neighbours (human or not).
