YURI ON ICE MOVIE NEWS ARE ON THE HORIZON

I repeat: Ice Adolescence news is coming!

Starting from 18th of January, 2019, the TV anime episodes of Yuri on Ice will be marathoned in Japanese cinemas for three weeks in parts of 4 episodes each week.

Mappa announced that there will be special movie news played at the end of each screening, though the news will always be the same regardless of the screening. Could it finally be the trailer for the movie…?

They also revealed the designs for the tickets for these screenings, which we’ve all been losing our minds over since this morning haha.

I know I’m late and you’ve probably seen this already but in case you missed it – here’s the newest news!

Dragon Fish
Japan. Edo period
5’3’’ x 34’’ x 17’’ – 160cm x 86cm x 43cm

A splendid model of a Shachihoko, an enormous roof decoration well cast in
bronze, with a dragon head with bushy eyebrows and whiskers, flared
nostrils, a spiny dorsal fin and 4 large pectoral fins. His body with the
scales of a carp and a large flared tail fin. Originally gilded overall, this
impressive beast would have adorned the gable end of a splendid castle, temple
or Samurai home. Now, with remnants of gilding to the scales and a
good green weathered patina.
Note: Shachihoko were thought to provide protection against fire, as they were
attributed with the power to control rain. Brandt Asian Art

It took a moment for an uncontrollable smile to grace Mr. Katsuki’s features— a genuine one, nothing like the facsimiles Victor saw and produced so often. Mr. Katsuki, it appeared, possessed a sense of humour.

“Mr. Katsuki,” Christophe said solemnly, placing a hand on his heart, “I apologise on Mr. Nikiforov’s behalf for that absolutely terrible pun.”

“Is it truly terrible if all parties involved enjoyed it?” Victor asked, gesturing towards his friend. “I happen to know you have a penchant for wordplay, and Mr. Katsuki at the very least smiled.”

“But whether it be from enjoyment or politeness has yet to be made clear.”

“It was a good pun,” Mr. Katsuki confessed, still smiling but now with an amused look. “Though it, perhaps, wasn’t the best I have ever heard.”
